LOUISVILLE, KY. – Goodwill Kentucky celebrated the graduation of participants from its first Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Logistics Program cohort on Thursday, March 12, which marked an important step in preparing Kentuckians for in-demand careers in warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing support roles.

The program is delivered in partnership with Kentucky Recovery Vocational (KRV), a key collaborator whose support and expertise have helped bring this opportunity to life. Through this industry-recognized credential, participants gain the skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence and receive guaranteed interviews with Goodwill Kentucky employer partners.

“KRV is proud to partner with Goodwill Kentucky to equip people with in-demand skills and help build a pipeline of job-ready talent for Kentucky employers,” said Jeric DeVore, KRV executive director.

The next cohort will take place from April 6–17, and applications will be accepted through April 1. Individuals interested in enrolling are encouraged to begin by becoming a Goodwill Kentucky Opportunity Center member and working with a career coach to get connected to training opportunities like the MSSC Logistics Program. Space is limited to 15 participants per cohort. To find an Opportunity Center near you, visit GoodwillKY.org/Statewide-Opportunity-Centers.

Goodwill Kentucky plans to expand the MSSC Logistics Program to additional locations across the Commonwealth in the coming year, continuing its goal to help Kentuckians build skills, gain credentials, and access meaningful career opportunities.

“At Goodwill Kentucky, we’re committed to creating pathways that lead to lasting success,” said Dennis Ritchie, vice president of reentry and strategic partnerships for Goodwill Kentucky. “Programs like this not only equip individuals with in-demand skills but also connect them directly to employers who are ready to hire. This is how we turn opportunity into real, sustainable careers.”

Employers interested in partnering with Goodwill Kentucky are encouraged to reach out to Alycia Tidrick, Goodwill Kentucky director of strategic partnerships, at Alycia.Tidrick@GoodwillKY.org.
