LEXINGTON, KY. – Goodwill Kentucky will hold a grand opening celebration for its relocated Stonewall retail store and donation center on Thursday, September 17, at 9 a.m. The new store, at 3101 Clays Mill Road, Suite 114, Lexington, KY 40503, is located in a larger space within the same shopping center, giving customers and donors more room while keeping the store in a familiar and convenient location.
At 21,188 square feet, including a 12,268-square-foot sales floor, the new store is more than twice the size of Goodwill Kentucky’s current location in the Stonewall neighborhood and is one of the largest in the 103 Kentucky counties the nonprofit operates in. The remodel was designed by Bayus Architecture, ACES Civil Engineering, and Rampart Engineering and is being led by Branscum Construction.
“Our new Stonewall location will provide an expanded shopping and donating experience for our customers but more importantly signifies an investment in Kentuckians who need a pathway out of poverty,” said Amy Luttrell, Goodwill Kentucky president and CEO. “We’re excited to see this project come to life and the impact it will have on the Lexington community and ultimately Kentucky’s economy.”
The expanded space will better support Goodwill Kentucky’s mission of helping Kentuckians find pathways out of poverty through job training, education services, second-chance employment, reentry resources, and much more. Ninety cents of every dollar generated at Goodwill Kentucky stores help fund these life-changing services. In 2025, Goodwill Kentucky contributed nearly $125 million in program service expenses thanks to its generous donors.
Additional details about the grand opening celebration will be announced as construction nears completion. For more information about Goodwill Kentucky retail locations or program offerings, visit GoodwillKY.org.
