At Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, we specialize in offering opportunities to Kentuckians with barriers to entering – or reentering – the workforce, especially those with criminal backgrounds.
That’s why we’re a proud sponsor for a series of virtual community discussions connecting justice-involved individuals with criminal justice professionals and legislators provided by the Kentucky Criminal Justice Forum (KCJF), in collaboration with Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary.
The discussions include what is and is not working in the criminal justice system and what needs to change, both locally and across the commonwealth. It’s a means to give a voice to those who are not heard or seldom heard in policy discussions. In addition, the forums serve as an opportunity to collect data on the matters of reentry, diversion, sentencing and more.
The first two forums were held in Louisville (central) and Owensboro (western), and the third took place in Berea on September 25. To learn more about the KCJF, visit kentuckycjf.org.
