Goodwill Industries of Kentucky Annual Fund and Grants Manager Jeff Hollis recently provided thought leadership and insight to students in the University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences.
Hollis spoke to juniors and seniors in the Department of History about how his History background shaped the work he does and the opportunities it created in the non-profit sector. Hollis also discussed how his role evolved, due to programming changes and the growing needs of low-income Kentuckians.
The University of Kentucky Department of History offers courses to help students strategize about how to best position themselves beyond jobs in law or education fields to fulfill career aspirations, emphasizing the importance of networking, studying abroad, participating in internships and other experiences outside the classroom.
