Senior Director of Reentry and Young Adult Services Dennis Ritchie and Housing Program Manager Kim Colbert recently sat down with John Ramsey of WAVE 3 to discuss Goodwill’s new housing program.
Through a self-sufficiency matrix, Goodwill has identified housing as the number one barrier that prevents Kentucky job seekers from achieving and maintaining employment. Goodwill’s housing program offers short-term housing subsidized by Goodwill for program participants who struggle with homelessness. Last year, 60% of program graduates transitioned into independent/unsubsidized housing.
