On Wednesday, February 8, Goodwill Industries of Kentucky hosted a press conference in Louisville that formally launched its centennial celebration. At the event, Goodwill spotlighted donors who are helping to fund its Opportunity Campus in West Louisville, revealed the official name for the site and provided construction updates on the project, which included details on its Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) construction goals.
Goodwill President and CEO Amy Luttrell, Chief Operating Officer Rena Sharpe, Chief External Affairs Officer DeVone Holt, Board Member Jason Groneck and mission speaker Laverne Smith spoke to a crowd of community members, organizational leaders and media about the impact the nonprofit has had in the commonwealth since 1923 and emphasized their commitment to make 2023 the year Goodwill takes the biggest and boldest mission-related steps in the organization’s 100-year history.
