LOUISVILLE, KY. – Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is soft-opening its new retail store and donation center in Paducah on Friday, December 20, with the grand opening and ribbon cutting set for Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. The new store, located at 5480 Old Hwy 60, Paducah, KY 42001, will replace Goodwill’s old Paducah store, located at 2560 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY, 42003.
Goodwill’s new location is 14,450 square feet, with a 9,195-square-foot sales floor and a cutting-edge POS system to simplify the shopping experience. All 39 employees from the old Paducah location, including Store Manager Kenna Elkins, have transferred to the new location, ensuring consistency in customer service.
“We are excited and proud to open our new Paducah store, which is a testament to the support we’ve received from this community,” said Mark Daniel, Goodwill Vice President of Operations. “In conjunction with our Paducah Opportunity Center, this new retail location will provide opportunities for community members in need and help drive our mission to reduce poverty.”
Because Goodwill’s new Paducah store is a relocation, the nonprofit kindly asks donors to refrain from donating to the old location beginning Friday, December 20, and instead drop off their gently used donations to the new location.
“We look forward to celebrating with Goodwill Industries on the opening of their new store with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting,” said Sandra Wilson, Paducah Chamber President/CEO and Paducah City Commissioner. “Goodwill is a great partner in our community, and we appreciate the investment they have made to build new facilities.”
