On Friday, August 16, Goodwill Industries of Kentucky opened Lexington’s first Attended Donation Center (ADC). The ADC is located at 2285 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40504, and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
The ADC is an alternative to donating at Goodwill’s retail stores, making it easier than ever to support the nonprofit’s mission to provide self-sufficiency resources to Kentuckians in need. A Goodwill attendant will greet donors at the ADC drive-thru and help ensure a trouble-free visit without the foot traffic of a Goodwill retail store. Donations will only be accepted during operating hours.
Items donated to the ADC are transported to Lexington Goodwill stores based on inventory needs. The items are then sold at Goodwill stores to help fund employment programs and career services. Nearly 90% of all revenue generated from retail stores supports mission-related programming.
