Goodwill Industries of Kentucky has promoted Shaun Israel to manager of its Metro Louisville Opportunity Center at 909 East Broadway, the nonprofit’s first-ever Opportunity Center. Israel began with Goodwill in August 2022 as an Another Way career coach.
In her role as Opportunity Center manager, Israel will oversee and help facilitate programming at the location, which aims to assist individuals who are experiencing addictions, justice-involved backgrounds, education deficiencies, limited workforce histories, child care challenges, transportation, homelessness, mental or physical disabilities and more.
“It has always been a privilege to serve and help those in need to overcome barriers and see the possibility of a transformed life,” she said. “In my new role with Goodwill as the Opportunity Center manager, I will continue to strive to go from good to great in our care for our community members, seeking every opportunity to encourage, support and instill hope in our participants and staff members. We must all have the desire to pay it forward. Only then will we see intentional transformation.”
Israel is a native of Tennessee who moved to Louisville after completing her undergraduate degree in Frankfort.
