LOUISVILLE, KY. – Goodwill Kentucky is pleased to announce the appointment of Darleen Horton as Director of Community Impact – West Louisville.

In this role, Horton will provide strategic leadership for Goodwill’s West Louisville Opportunity Center, strengthen relationships with residents and community partners, and expand connections to employment, education, training, behavioral health, reentry, housing, and other resources that help individuals and families achieve greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Horton will also retain oversight of Goodwill’s Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programming. Her leadership will help connect violence-intervention participants and their families with the broader network of services available through Goodwill and its community partners.

Having grown up in West Louisville, Horton brings a personal understanding of the community and a deep commitment to its residents. Her connection to the neighborhood, knowledge of Goodwill’s mission, and experience working alongside community stakeholders position her to serve as a trusted and visible leader.

Horton will report to Dennis Ritchie, Goodwill Kentucky’s newly appointed vice president of mission strategy and impact. This leadership structure will support greater coordination among Goodwill’s programs, partnerships, and community-impact initiatives.

“Darleen’s personal connection to West Louisville and her commitment to the people we serve make her exceptionally well suited for this role,” said Rena Sharpe, chief operating officer of Goodwill Kentucky. “She understands that meaningful community impact begins with listening, building trust, and connecting people with opportunities that can create lasting change.”

Goodwill Kentucky looks forward to Darleen’s leadership as the organization continues working with residents and partners to strengthen West Louisville and create pathways to opportunity.
