Goodwill Kentucky is proud to announce the completion of the first cohort of our Pharmacy Technician Certification program! This milestone marks the beginning of a powerful new pathway for participants seeking meaningful careers in the health care field.
Launched in July, the program was designed to meet the growing demand for skilled pharmacy technicians while providing participants with the tools, training, and confidence needed to thrive in a competitive industry. Over the course of their training, participants gained not only technical knowledge in pharmacy operations but also the professional skills necessary to excel in a health care environment.
Every participant of Cohort 1 overcame challenges, balanced responsibilities, and committed themselves to achieving certification—an accomplishment that opens doors to stable employment and long-term career growth.
The program’s success stems from collaboration between Goodwill’s SNAP E&T, Financial Wellness, and Young Adult programs, along with industry partners and employers who provided vital support and opportunities. Their shared vision of connecting individuals to sustainable careers has created meaningful impact for both participants and the community.
With Cohort 1 now certified and ready to enter the workforce, Goodwill looks forward to expanding the program and welcoming future cohorts.
