LOUISVILLE, KY. – Today, Goodwill Kentucky officially cut the ribbon on its new Cardinal Valley retail store and donation center, located at 2285 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40504. The new store features a 9,500-square-foot sales floor, a 3,000-square-foot processing center, and a refreshed in-store design.

Goodwill Kentucky President and CEO Amy Luttrell, Chief of External Affairs Kevin Smith, and Vice President of Operations Mark Daniel were joined by Councilmember Jennifer Reynolds of Lexington Council District 11 and Commerce Lexington Chief of Staff Lynda Bebrowsky for the celebration.

“We’re proud and excited to bring this new Goodwill location to the Cardinal Valley community,” said Luttrell. “Every purchase and every donation here directly supports our mission to help Kentuckians find pathways out of poverty. This store is not just about thrift shopping—it’s about creating opportunities and changing lives.”

Goodwill Kentucky expects to welcome 117,000 customers and 9,800 donors each year to the new location, which held a soft opening in June and has already received a warm response from the community. The store employs 37 individuals, and more than half have benefited from Goodwill Kentucky’s self-sufficiency resources.

Each year, these resources help more than 20,000 Kentuckians overcome barriers to employment. To fuel this work, it invites the community to visit the new store, donate, and make an impact. Approximately 90 cents of every dollar generated at Goodwill Kentucky locations helps fund programs that empower Kentuckians to build brighter futures. When you give to Goodwill, you do a lot of good.
