Goodwill Industries of Kentucky President and Chief Executive Officer Amy Luttrell was recently a guest speaker on WDRB-TV in Louisville to highlight National Recovery Month and discuss the many support systems Goodwill provides for individuals and families across Kentucky who are battling addiction.
“Overcoming this crisis calls for an all-hands-on-deck approach,” said Luttrell in her Point of View segment. “Goodwill will do our part, and I invite all of you to find a way to help.”
Goodwill’s mission is to help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain employment to gain a better quality of life. With thousands of Kentuckians across the state battling this crippling issue, the organization knows that people with addictions shop in its stores, participate in its programs and are part of its workforce. One of Goodwill’s many life-changes initiatives includes employment services and other supports to help people return to their communities after addiction treatment.
