LOUISVILLE, KY. – Goodwill Industries of Kentucky has been awarded a $25,000 grant through the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s Nonprofit Capital Grant Program in the category of operational investments.
Goodwill will use the grant to purchase a gently used vehicle to support its Van to Work program, a service that provides willing workers transportation to and from their place of work. This resource removes barriers for Kentuckians in the Lexington and Fayette County areas who experience lack of transportation.
The award represents the full amount requested by Goodwill. A total of $143,000 was available for the grant program’s category of operational investments.
