Anthony Clark Goodwill KentuckyAnthony, who goes by Tony, has shown resilience and determination throughout his journey of personal and professional growth at Goodwill. Since May of this year, he has overcome numerous challenges and achieved milestones that have reshaped his life.

Tony’s biggest achievement has been his sobriety. His commitment to his recovery, his support system, and the strength he’s developed through his efforts have helped him reach nine months of sobriety, which has built a healthier and more stable foundation for his future.

Within two months of being hired at our Georgetown location, Tony was promoted to Material Handler, which is a testament to his hard work and dedication, according to his Career Coach Hayley. Through our transportation assistance programs, Tony was able to obtain a car, which has been a “game-changer” for him, providing him with reliable transportation and a greater sense of independence.

Looking ahead, Tony is eager to further his education by pursuing a Peer Support Certification, an area that deeply resonates with him. He is excited about the prospect of helping others who face similar challenges.

Tony stated, “Goodwill saved my life. Before I was employed at Goodwill, I had nothing. I didn’t even have food. Y’all saved my life.”
