We’re proud to announce we’ve partnered with Veteran Affairs of Lexington to provide $30,000 in vouchers to the health care system for a third straight year.
The voucher program provides veterans with free clothing and other needs. Vouchers are in the amount of $10 and can be used across the commonwealth.
“Basically it’s just a strong partnership between the VA and Goodwill to help support veterans in need of services,” said Goodwill’s Community Engagement Manager Ben Haydon, per the Commonwealth Journal.
The announcement was made as our career services, SCSEP and mission integration teams met with representatives from the VA social services and health care teams in Somerset to discuss opportunities to strengthen partnerships not only in southeast Kentucky but throughout the commonwealth.
