LOUISVILLE, KY. – Goodwill Kentucky has hired Patricia Deitz as its new director of retail operations. Deitz brings more than two decades of retail experience and a passion for both customer and employee engagement.

Deitz started her retail career as a cashier and spent the last 15 years at Dollar General, where she advanced to the position of regional director. In this role, she oversaw more than 260 stores and managed 13 direct reports. Her strategic development and implementation of performance management plans have made her a respected figure in the industry.

As the director of retail operations for Goodwill Kentucky, Deitz is responsible for overseeing the performance and strategic direction of the organization’s retail stores within a specific region.

“I believe your heart matters more than your background,” Deitz said. “I was drawn to Goodwill because of the endless opportunities our state has at its fingertips. I am a servant leader, and I am very humbled to be here and to continue to spread the mission and message of Goodwill Kentucky.”

Deitz is a dedicated mother of five children, ages 7 to 17, and stays busy supporting their many sports and hobbies. Her strong sense of discipline, rooted in her U.S. Army background, and her investment in community and family align closely with Goodwill’s values.
