Goodwill Industries of Kentucky will host an open house event with its community partners at its newly expanded Morehead Opportunity Center on Thursday, September 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will showcase the new 4,000-square-foot expansion, which more than doubles the original size of the center, and feature food, guest speaker Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Governor Andy Beshear, a Goodwill mission speaker and more.

The Morehead Opportunity Center’s expansion allows Goodwill to provide reentry and work-ready certification programs and services to at least 24 individuals each month. A large multipurpose area is now available for events, such as expungement clinics, job fairs, partner days, client graduations and more. The expansion also allows Goodwill to provide a new computer lab through a partnership with Made 180.

Since 2023, more than 530 individuals have become members of the Morehead Opportunity Center, which offers holistic employment and self-sufficiency resources to individuals in need. To learn more, visit GoodwillKY.org/Morehead.
