In commemoration of Second Chance Month, Goodwill Industries of Kentucky hosted and took part in a variety of reentry events to raise awareness for the many barriers formerly incarcerated individuals face and empower them to reintegrate into the workforce, escape poverty and find success.

Goodwill’s signature events in April were its Second Chance Days, where Goodwill partners set up at respective statewide Goodwill Opportunity Centers to offer formerly justice-involved individuals a one-stop shop for life-enhancing resources. Events took place at Centers in Bowling Green, Corbin, Elizabethtown, downtown Louisville, South Louisville, Lexington, Morehead, Pikeville and Somerset.

Goodwill cohosted a Second Chance Expo at the Central Bank Center in Lexington, which featured an expungement clinic. More than 300 individuals were in attendance.
