WHAT IS ANOTHER WAY?

Goodwill Kentucky launched the Another Way program to expand opportunities for individuals experiencing poverty, offering immediate work as an additional pathway to income and support.

Program teams canvass high-traffic areas, including shelters, highways, and street corners, inviting individuals to participate in a four-hour work opportunity. Participants are transported to local worksites, where they earn $50 and receive lunch for the day.

More importantly, Another Way serves as a gateway to deeper support. Each participant is introduced to Goodwill’s Opportunity Centers, where they can access ongoing resources like career coaching, job training, and other services designed to reduce barriers and support long-term stability.
